Don't forget the cannoli!


One of our family members loves Cannoli and for their Birthday I decided to make a Cannoli Cake. (Mainly because I didn't want to break out the oil fryer) I found an easy recipe online which was a basic sponge recipe with some orange zest and the filling pretty much is what you get in a traditional Cannoli. Mascarpone, ricotta, icing sugar and mini chocolate chips. The filling amounted to about $20 so holy cannoli!  We loved every bite of this delectable cake. I didn't cut each sponge in half and make 4 layers, so I did have quite a bit of frosting left. For the next few days I slathered icing over all of our desserts. Divine.
