Fruit on Foccacia?




 I know that the nation is divided when it comes to the question "Does Pineapple belong on Pizza?"For the record, I think that it does. Growing up in England, the ham and pineapple pizza was one of the most popular in restaurants there, usually called the Polynesian. In fact, it was the only pizza my father would eat. So when I found a recipe for Grape and Rosemary Foccacia Bread I was not disturbed at all. My family are against the whole pineapple on pizza thing so I expected them to turn their noses up at this recipe but no, they just raved about it. This confuses me because a flatbread is similar to pizza no? So their whole "fruit does not belong on pizza" chant does not fly with me!
